Swingers Charity Ultimate Tournament – The Package

Every good tournament’s got a package for the participants. So here is ours – All you need to know and some other stuff just for filler.

We want to get a head start on the day, so please be at St. Mike’s between 9:00 & 9:30. See you on Saturday bright and early!

Have friends who want to last minute register? Swingers never say no!
• They can register on-site before 9:30am.
• Must bring $30 each for registration (cash only)

Schedule of the Day:
9:00 – 9:30am – Registration and draw for first teams (don’t be late!)
9:30 – 10:00 – Tournament Start
10:00 – 10:50 – Game #1
10:50 – 11:10 – Break, report scores, form new teams, warm-up
11:10 – 12:00 – Game #2
12:00 – 12:15 – Break, report scores, form new teams
12:15 – 12:45 – Lunch/Snack Break
12:45 – 1:00 – Spirit Game Icebreaker (optional to earn extra points)
1:00 – 1:50 – Game #3
1:50 – 2:10 – Break, report scores, form new teams, warm-up
2:10 – 3:00 – Game #4
3:00 – 3:15 – Report Scores, Final Tally of Results and Awards Presentation
4:00 – 5:00 Arrive at Scallywags for After-Party

*** Between games don’t forget to stop by the Gesund Clinic tent for a massage by a registered massage therapist***

What you need to bring:
• A dark and a light shirt. Pants optional.
• Optional costume – extra points awarded for the best ones!!
• Anything else you’d usually bring to a tournament – sunscreen, chairs, snacks, water, vodka

Think you have what it takes to be in the top 5? It’s not too late!! Use facebook, twitter, and emails to get sponsors before Saturday. There are tons of prizes available – raise $75 and your registration fee will be waived, raise $150 and you will get a limited edition, Swingers branded Frisbee

How the tournament works:
• When you check-in, you’ll be given your key…which is also your scorecard
• At the beginning of each round, all couples keys will be put in a hat and teams will be drawn. So that means you’ll be “swinging” with different couples every game
• 45 minute games, 6 on 6 ultimate, Swingers Edition Rules (ie. use whatever rules you can remember and agree on)
• Every game that your couple is on the winning team you get 10 points, tie games get 5 points
• The opposing team also gets to award the “Most Spirited Person” on your team, and that person gets 5 point for their couple
• The couple with the most points at the end of the tournament…wins! Earn points for winning games, best costume, fundraising level and playing spirit games!

1. When playing ultimate you are expected to finish up in under ten seconds.
2. You can wear a skirt when you play ultimate and nobody thinks you’re a pervert.

Always wanted to try ultimate frisbee but too nervous to try? Don’t have a team? No problem! Here’s your chance to lower your inhibitions, throw caution to the wind and give frisbee “swinging” a try on Saturday, August 13th.

Unlike other swinging parties, you don’t have to bring a partner to The Swinger’s Ultimate Invitational – we’ll pair you up if you’re attending solo. The genders of the pair don’t matter…be ready to swing with everyone! Each pair is given a key – and for each game, keys are drawn from a disc matching pairs to form a team ensuring that you get to swing with as many people as possible. With the swinging format, everyone is guaranteed to play 4 games.
